Stone Carving
April 28th, 2007 by Wiese
Few things survive the ravages of time, and while contributions to knowledge are important there is
nothing to guarantee that principles developed today won't become obsolete tomorrow. There is also
something special about the act of creating, and while management and building software is challenging,
the final result while gratifying seems less than tangle.
So inspired by a touring antiques exhibition that included works of hieroglyphics carved into stone,
I decided to take up mallet and chisel. Interestingly I tried some of the modern power tools such as a
Dremil, only to have many hours of meticulous work ruined in a second from a moment of impatience. Thus
all my work is hand carved.
Anyway I'll let the work speak for itself...
